The Château Saint Clemont is listed as a National Monument by the French Government - this is a treasure.
The Chateau Saint Clemont, dating from the 18th Century, sits in 350 hectares of grounds and formal gardens.
There is a modern swimming pool (12x 6 metres) and pavilion complete with a changing pavilion.
16 lucky guests can be accommodated in this meticulously restored Chateau Saint Clemont.
The ground floor has a superb reception room, a fully equipped kitchen, laundry and dining room with fireplace and chandelier. There is a drawing room with grand piano, smoking room, games room with billiard table, and a downstairs WC.
The first floor (bedroom floor) has 10 elegantly furnished bedrooms (3 doubles, 3 twin and 4 singles) 3 bathrooms and a WC.
In the grounds are terraces with outdoor furniture, formal gardens and park, and fishing lakes. There is a modern swimming pool (12x6 metres), complete with a changing pavilion, shower and WC. The pool is fenced and alarmed. There is also a Catholic Chapel with authentic 15th century autel.
There is a supermarket within 10 minutes and the local boulangerie is only 5 minutes away. Angers is 15km away and the international airport at Nantes a short 60km drive. Nearby to visit are various châteaux, golf courses, museums, vineyards and leisure activities.
The rent covers all utilities, bed linen and towels. The gardens are maintained by a gardener and a maid is available on request for a small fee. The swimming pool is maintained by a specialist pool cleaning company.
