This brand new 'designer' villa has been built and finished to a very high standard and is set in a spectacular elevated location with wonderful sea views, yet is only 400 metres from both the sandy Racò and the Illa Roja beaches, and 500 metres from the beach at Sa Riera. The charming old town of Begur is only 3 kms away and the historic town of Pals is 5 kms away.
Villa Sa Riera has been built in a very contemporary 21st century Catalan style. Clean lines are complimented by enormous glass windows which flood the villa with light and allow it to take maximum benefit from its location and south east sea facing orientation. Cool white walls are complimented by wooden floors and a high standard of finish throughout, whilst areas of glass frame the sea views.
The entrance to the villa is into the top floor and opens to an impressive panoramic sea view. The top floor has been mainly given over to a large living room with separate sitting and dining areas which open on to a wrap around terrace through full height sliding glass doors. The terrace has separate sitting and dining areas, the perfect spots for soaking up the views over a long lunch or dinner; either in full sun or under the shade of the covered areas. The living room has comfortable settees and a large flat screen television and DVD player. Leading off the living room is the modern white luminous kitchen which has been well equipped with a ceramic hob, oven, dishwasher, fridge freezer, coffee machine, microwave and a small breakfast table. An impressive wooden staircase leads down from the entrance hall to the ground floor of the villa. Leading off the lower hall are four bedrooms all of which have great views and direct access to the pool terrace. There are two comfortable twin bedrooms that share a full bathroom and a double bedroom with an ensuite bathroom. The master bedroom suite is split level and has a lounge area, a large double bed and wonderful panoramic windows that open onto the pool terrace. The master suite bathroom is very special with a shower cubicle and separate bath, which has been so positioned to have the most wonderful views from a picture window. There is also a laundry room on this level of the villa.
The infinity pool is set into the lower terrace and has a teak decking surround and corner entry steps and an outside shower. The lower terrace is fully furnished and can be reached by a staircase from the upper terrace. The grounds of the villa are also terraced and there are a number of Mediterranean pines that provide shade from the sun. Beside the front door there is covered parking for two cars.
The small resort of Sa Riera is a short walk and nestles amongst pine covered hills where you will find a sandy beach and clear water overlooked by a waterfront with a number of restaurants. The old town of Begur, 3 kms away, is situated some seven hundred feet above sea level, with superb views over the coastline. Enjoy a gentle stroll around the cobbled streets of this romantic town which shelters at the foot of a 16th century castle. Begur has an attractive town square with bars, restaurants, cafes and a couple of nightclubs. In the high season there is live music in the square. There is a market every Wednesday morning selling fresh daily produce. The famed medieval village of Pals is also just a short drive whilst both Girona and Figueres, with its Dali Museum are within easy reach.
With an enticing infinity pool and spacious accommodation Sa Riera is a great villa for an extended family or a group of friends looking for a high quality property in a wonderful location.
