Full Description:
The farmhouse's history is evident in its thick stone walls and shuttered windows. Inside, it's a combination of traditional and modern design with white walls and cool terracotta-tiled floors. On the ground floor the entrance hall leads to a long, bright and airy lounge and dining room. There are comfortable sofas here around an open fire, satellite tv and a dvd/cd stereo, and a long dining table which seats up to ten people. French doors open out of this room onto the pool-terrace.
The spacious kitchen is also a light and bright room opening out onto the garden-terrace. There's lots of storage and work-space here and appliances include a dishwasher and a microwave. Laundry can be done in the utility room in the separate casita building. Also here on the ground floor there's a lovely twin bedroom and a seperate bathroom with a bath and a shower.
On the first floor a gallery-landing overlooking the hall leads to four cool and light twin bedrooms, all with air-conditioning. The main double bedroom is a lovely room with an en-suite bathroom and lovely views over the pool to farmland and the Puig Maria mountain.
The remaining three bedrooms (two twins and one double) all have en-suite bathrooms. Two of the bedrooms have mountain views and all the bedrooms are simple, clean and uncluttered with Mallorcan-style beds and white linen.
In the garden there are lots of relaxing and shady places with lovely views over the Pollenca countryside to the Puig Maria mountain. There's a long swimming pool with curved roman steps surrounded by sun-terraces. There are lawns and lots of tall palms and olive trees, and Mediterranean flowers and plants. A vine-covered dining terrace with a barbecue area overlooks the garden and there's also a pool-shower for after a swim.
Finca Cal Apostol is a very relaxing and welcoming house for families and groups of friends. It is across the lane from the Finca Apostol Nou (id 435) and so both villas are perfect for large groups of up to 18 holiday-makers. It has lots of historic character and it's in a lovely part of the countryside outside Pollenca. The old town itself is still close by - just a 2-minute drive from the house - and Pollenca's golf course is even closer. The beaches and resort of Puerto Pollenca are 10 minutes away by car.
